Donating your books is simple and convenient. Just visit our website and choose a pickup time that works best for you. Whether you’re cleaning out your home library, office shelves, or classroom, we’ll come to you. Currently, we collect donations each Saturday between 8 AM - 12 PM.

On the day of your scheduled pickup, our volunteers or staff will collect your books with care. Once received, each donation is sorted and processed to determine how it can make the greatest impact. Most books are prepared for direct donation to nonprofits and schools; a small number of books may be resold to generate funds that cover our operating expenditures and allow us to collect more books than would normally be possible.

After processing, your books find new homes where they’re needed most. We partner with libraries and other nonprofits throughout Sacramento. Whether it's a child discovering their first favorite story or a classroom receiving much-needed reading material, your donation directly supports learning, opportunity, and community growth.
